** My actual age is 72** I am attempting to correct this. I am a good mixture of old traditional ways and new modern society. I am a retired Judge/Lawyer. I am very healthy and physically fit. I exercise every day. I am honest, sincere, loyal and trustworthy. I always try to act as a gentleman, but I am not a stick in the mud! I am funny and very spontaneous. I like to have fun. I am older but have always been young at heart and in spirit. I act young and will always be young! I enjoy the outdoors and nature, the beach, reading, cooking and many other activities. I am romantic, very loyal, kind, absolutely honest and very supportive of my partner and wife. I do not want a maid or servant. I want someone who is my equal partner. I believe in treating women as equals. I will never raise my voice in anger to you. But I will always be there to fearlessly protect you! I will support you in your career. I will be there to comfort and encourage you in the bad times. If we are married I promise I will give you my heart and soul and all my love. I only ask that you do the same for me. I will be your best friend!! I spend part of everyday learning. I read in many areas of interest; medicine, science, history, foreign cultures, entertainment, sports and politics, both USA and foreign. I have many interests. I am a well rounded person and have had a life of adventure. I was in combat for 4 years when I was younger so I am not afraid of facing difficulties. Yes I am older and you will have to decide if my age is a problem for you. You will have to pay no attention to what others think but be concerned only with our relationship and love. I am young in body, young in spirit and young in my actions. I am healthy and very fit. I exercise almost every day. I walk my dogs. I garden and maintain my house. I am very handy with tools and repairs. I try to ride my bicycle 4-5 times a week. I try to average 240–320 km each week. I raced motorcycles until 4 years ago. I play golf every week or so. I have always been athletic and played sports from a very young age. I really believe in physical fitness. I like to go the beach and to fish in the surf. I like being in the mountains and to be in nature as much as I can. I enjoy museums, ballet and opera, food from all cultures, cooking, going to coffee houses and theaters. I am very educated (19 years). I have traveled to many countries and have a great respect for foreign cultures. I have a great humor. I love laughter and having fun each day.

I am a fun, fit, successful 49 year old man. I am a dedicated athlete, father (Daughters aged 21 and 22), and professional. I am very affectionate and not afraid of PDA’s, so if you are uncomfortable with an arm around you in public, I may be the wrong guy. I do not like to sit still and I love to travel. I try to get away at least once per year. I am passionate about the things I love. I have direction and a vision for our future. I don't need help, but I would like the companionship of a single special woman, maybe you. I am not a fan of drama, and tend to be a stabilizing influence in the lives of the people close to me. I believe fun is not an option in life, but rather a necessity, otherwise, what's the point? Music is my fuel. I am hopelessly romantic, intellectual and a bit of a nerd. Important things, I am not religious but I believe the "Golden Rule" is the foundation of all morality. I am intolerant of intolerance and truly believe all people are created equal regardless of race, nationality, gender or sexual orientation. I contribute to NPR and PBS, I read the NY Times and The New Yorker magazine. I love museums and books. So, what am I looking for? She will be feminine - absolutely - I believe in the dichotomy - femininity compliments masculinity - yin/yang (you get the picture). She will also be fun, smart, spontaneous, adventurous, and at least as physical as I am (I believe sexual compatibility is critical....) I hope I will know her when I meet her. 5'11"(yes actually), 185 lb

I am a quintessential dichotomy, having many contrasting and some radically opposite points of views and life experiences. I am from Louisiana, a state that is very good at defining you. My father is Cajun and my mother is Southern... I got the best of both food worlds, and I know how to cook. I generally don't like competitive sports, and don't watch games. Being that I don't have cable TV or even own a TV, the only time I *do* watch sports is with friends at bars or their place. I love people who see life as one great big learning experience, both from its challenges and from its opportunities. I love even more, those who view life with infinitesimally more opportunities than challenges. I hate Twilight, but love Pride and Prejudice, after having read both. Character development, ladies... Meyer v Austen isn't even a fair contest. I love Irish music and French food. I have Irish and French blood, so why not go with the best from both, eh? I love the smell of green peppers, especially when making a gumbo. Fake or shallow people bore me to tears. I love to observe people and cultures. I learn a lot from observing the ordinary. I love to know extraordinary people. I like humor that is un-p.c. I appreciate and usually laugh at *any* attempt at humor by others. It may not be the actual attempt-at-humor that I'm laughing at. I love Kermit. His performance of "Being Green" is a fave. I am *way* over-educated, to the point I know everything. The one thing I *really* know, is that I know nothing. I am really "into" music, both listening and performing. I am really not "into" country music, although I can appreciate it, and actually love bluegrass/folk. I love dogs but only just barely like cats as I'm a bit allergic. I have a cat but not a dog. I love someone with a sense of humor as mine. I love exploring nearby places. I wish I had more time and money to explore far-away places. I like fresh flowers in my home, but would never admit that to other guys. Please help me keep that secret. I love standing around and talking outside. I love taking car trips. I like the city and the country but would always want to live close to a city. I dislike doing laundry, especially ironing. I don't sing in the shower but sing in the car. I am bad luck when it comes to grocery lines, so if you see me in one, pick another line. I love looking at old photographs of cities I know well. I love buildings that invite me in by their design. I like drawing. I am not very good at drawing, except I can do a mean poinsettia. I love my SCUBA gear, my trombone, my mountain bike, my road bicycle, my telescopes, my Irish flute, and my kayaks, if one can actually "love" inanimate objects. I love live theatre, live music and live comedy. I love lively people. I think there is balance when it comes to squeezing toothpaste with using the middle end. I like staying up late and sleeping in. I almost always go to bed early and hardly ever sleep in. I love people that have figured out their purpose in life. I especially like those who live a purposeful life. My favorite outdoor activities include mountain biking, cycling, golf, scuba diving, kayaking and snowshoeing. I love music and outdoor concerts/events, including Jazz, Classical, Celtic and Bluegrass music. I love to go to theater, opera and am an avid museum-goer.

I am a guy who surely is passionate about some things, but who routinely uses fun-to-misery ratios to plan his days. I like very small boats (and have a garage full of them), eating with my hands, long walks, an exercise buzz, wilderness trips, being outside, watching movies, checking out new places, and doing the right thing. I am cooking again and the aroma it leaves in my home seems so grand - I get all proud that I made it. I am curious and strive to understand the world. I know how to vacation. I explore Alaska and Latin America, and other places too. Was in India this fall. Recently, in Costa Rica, I learned to surf(!!!!), and will be doing more of that soon. I don’t eat meat. I don't do spectator sports or tv much. I am a socially adept introvert and might be quiet in a group until I get to know people. I can be cuddly, and am very genuine. I am fifteen years into a successful, interesting, and entrepreneurial professional career that’s made me hero to some and ... well, something else to others. That's back in Seattle. Now I'm in Oslo for a year getting more training. I have a good story. This career has consumed me enough, and there’s more to life than sticking it to the man. So I’m looking for the next phase and think I can do anything that I'd want to. Deciding on that thing is the trick. Be in on it! You should be smart, kind, and sexy. Hardy and outgoing are good too. You share. You treat others as you'd like to be treated. You like to have adventures and get excited about vacation. You are easily pleased by my irregular jokes and tolerate occasional ranting. You discern the complement I mean to give on those occasions when I don’t get it quite right. You’d like to canoe downriver for a week, hundreds of miles from any damn advertising.
