Life is Too Short to Be Alone
Hello, for starters I have not fully subscribed yet but I am going to once I become familiar with this site. I really don't understand why it is so hard to find a soulmate to spend your life with? Yes, I'm in my 60's but does that really matter. I'm a good man. I don't play games with people's hearts. I am a proud grand dad of a wonderful 2 year old. My son is 31 and a young man now. I'm kind hearted, giving and more importantly, loyal to someone I love. I am open and honest about myself and yet no one will even reach out and say hi. It truly breaks my heart that someone like myself who has been alone for over seven years is unable to capture anyone's interest in at least talking to me. Yes, I'm just an old hippie born in the 50s. Yes, I went to so many concerts that my hearing now is a bit flawed. I grew up alone after the loss of both my parents. Having no siblings I went through life by myself. Like many others I stumbled many times but by Gods grace l survived. I know some people aren’t religious so I don’t mean to offend you by stating that. I have few friends and those friends are like family to me. I wouldn't be writing this without them. They know who they are. I have been alone for many years now and time is getting away from me. I am lonely yes, been that way for a while now but, I’m not the kind that goes to bars and such to meet people. Sadly I guess I depend too much on fate. I love ladies who are from foreign countries. My mother was born in Paris so I guess it's in my blood. I don’t know what else to say. I hope all this makes sense! Peace to all who read this.

O.K. This is me in a nutshell, "Help! Help! I am in a NUTSHELL! How in the world did I get into a nutshell? What kind of shell has a nut like me inside? Get me outta here. Help!" O.k....All kidding aside, I am a Pediatrician and am currently living in Staten Island, where I work at a Hospital and am in the final year of my residency. I have not been on a date since before Covid and am looking to jump back into the proverbial “pool.” I hate writing these things, because I hate trying to have to “sell” myself. I am definitely NOT a salesman. I prefer to try to put the best product out there, and hope somebody is interested. I feel like there is little I can say to make you believe that I am a viable option without coming across as “Arrogant”. My father taught me at a very young age to be “Confident” but never “arrogant.” As such, I will try to stick to the facts. I am originally from Central New Jersey. My family still lives there, so whenever I have time off that is where you will find my….Playing with my Nieces and nephews. I am a family man, first and foremost. I rarely miss a sporting event, concert, recital, or School play. I am the FUNCLE! (or at least that is what the T-shirt they got me for Christmas says). I consider myself to be a Gentleman. I Say “Please” and “Thank You”, Sir” and “m'am”. I am kind to strangers and I respect my elders. I open doors and pull out chairs. I pick up the check and tip way too much. My Parents raised me well, and they deserve all of the credit. I believe that I am the type of Man whom you would be proud to bring home to your parents. My schedule has been crazy the past few years, routinely working 80 hours a week. But Hey, that is what it takes. Parents trust me with that which is most important to them, and that is a responsibility that I am honored to take seriously (without taking myself seriously at all.) Thankfully, my residency ends this summer. I will be free to venture out on my own and I will have much more free time on my hands for social activities. I think that the 3 words that would best describe me are Integrity, honor, and loyalty. I consider myself to be caring, adventurous, ambitious, and hard-working. Oh yeah, did I mention that I'm a total Goofball too? Although I work very diligently, I always make time to have tons of fun with my friends and family. My family is very important to me and I am very close with mine. In addition to making new friends all over the country, I have still managed to stay incredibly close with my friends that I grew up with. Some of my interests include Baseball, the Beach, and Bruce Springsteen,....the rest is details. I have just one rule when it comes to dating; I treat every woman with the same amount of respect and courtesy that I would expect somebody to show my mother or my sister. I enjoy sitting and conversing over a few cocktails, and I love to cook. Especially family dinners on Sundays during football season, and back-yard bar-b-ques when the weather is nice. I don’t like being the center of attention, yet somehow, reluctantly, often end up being the life of the party. I live my life like a sitcom. I am always waiting for the set-up so I can deliver a funny punchline. My mind is a vast reservoir filled with useless trivia and movie lines. I am a Seinfeld fanatic, and quote if frequently. You have been warned!!! I do not play games (Time is the most valuable commodity and I would not waste yours or mine). I don't create drama. There is enough real drama in the world, I don't see the point of creating it unnecessarily. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and/or the Guitar, hitting the gym, playing with my nieces/nephews, or going out with friends to check out a cover band. I play with my nieces and nephews and Godchildren every chance I get. I am “Old School”! In fact, I am SO “Old School” that I still spell “School” with a “CH” rather than a “K”. I wouldn't know how to “Net-flix-and-chill” and I Do NOT take “Selfies”. (I can barely bring myself to TYPE the word). I do not sit on my couch playing video games. If I want to play a video game, I go to the Boardwalk and go to an Arcade. I enjoy working out. I am a bit of a Gym Rat and have been since I was 13 years old. It would be nice to find someone that I can share this time with. If you have never done it, but always wanted to try, I used to be a personal trainer, so I can definitely teach you. If not, that is OK. I am fine going it alone. I have big arms...Perfect for carrying groceries, holding babies, and giving hugs. As a kid, if somebody were to ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would reply, “A Good Father.” I have not yet given up on that. Thus, I am hoping to find somebody who would like nothing more than to be a Mom. Not tomorrow, of course. (I know that you have to have your "making-my-girlfriends-jealous" time) But, within the next few years. As such, I would like to meet a woman who would like nothing more than to be a mother, and still has some Child-bearing years left in her. My idea of a perfect date would be August 2nd! I am not perfect. I know this. But who are we kidding?...Neither are are you. (that is a joke). That being said, I am always trying to make myself better and be the best that I can be. I might not be perfect, but perhaps...just perhaps...I might be perfect for you.
