World traveler. Spontaneous. Intuitive. I've lived and done business all over the world. Europe, Asia, South and Central America. I'm into healthy living. Vegetarian, vegan, yoga type of lifestyle. I love natural building of houses using natural materials. If you are into these things I hope to hear from you. I love nature. Mountains, rivers, forests. I want to live in a place surrounded by nature. I am new to Ivano Frankivsk/Lviv area and looking to meet people. I am also researching my ancestors who also come from this area. Interested in natural building of houses. If you are also interested in this we have a lot to talk about. I love dogs and have two Australian Sheppards. I think I will get involved with a local animal shelter and help out with taking care of unwanted dogs. If you are the type that always likes the worst possible guys, I'm definitely not the person for you. I dislike women that want to wear the fanciest clothing, jewelry, designer items, makeup and lots of perfume. Nothing turns me off more than that. There are many guys that like that, I'm not one of them. If you have read this far and understand what I've wrote, you are amazing! :) If you're lucky enough to interest me, you must be a special person.

I'm a recently separated father. My daughter is very special to me and I get to see her almost daily. I enjoy exercise and sports (I'm near D.C. so Alex Ovechkin is my favorite athlete!), reading, music, and art. I've been interested in Russian/Eastern European history and culture for a long time-I find this part of the world fascinating, and would love to connect with somebody from that region.

►►► Looking for someone highly in... Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Seeking: Female 21 - 36 for Friendship
Religion: Buddhist

►►►Please make sure to click 'read more' to see everything I've written in this section▼▼▼ Hello. (-: My name is Chris, and I live permanently in Hawaii, USA. I am both a U.S. citizen and a Norwegian citizen. I grew up in Scandinavia (Norway), North-West Europe, but I became a U.S. citizen several years ago. I am open to meeting a woman of any ethnicity/nationality - what is important to me is that you are honest, intelligent, open to learning - open to new ideas, enjoy and appreciate nature, and serious about meeting a kind and interesting person. I am, in many ways, very different from the typical Western person - my mind and my heart are often more at home with Eastern ways of thinking, and living in Hawaii - near the center of the Pacific Ocean - seems to suit me very well. I love animals, especially German Shepherd dogs; I do not currently have one. Would be nice to meet a person who cares not only about humans, but all sentient beings in general given that we are one of countless animal species, not a special being that stands above and apart from the rest of nature. I should point out that I do not follow any religion. I see Buddhism as a philosophy, a set of very helpful methods and ideas, and out of all the well-known systems of thought, I feel most at home with Buddhist teachings. I believe I can accurately be described as highly spiritual - I feel a deep connection with and appreciation of nature and the Universe. I can walk in the mountains, stand in the forest, or sit at the edge of the ocean and get tears in my eyes just looking at the beauty of nature and the considering the mystery of existence. I take very good care of my health by eating well (most of the time, not all the time!), exercise, using several natural supplements (plant/fruit/vegetable extracts), and working on feeling content and at peace by doing meditation practice. Also, I am known for extensive use of logic and reason, and normally spot illogical thinking almost instantly. Related to that, it is appropriate to mention that I will never get upset when someone points out that I've made a mistake. If it appears that I was wrong, I will admit it as soon as I understand that I was mistaken. I like truth and clarity in situations where that is possible, and when I am uncertain of something or simply don't know, I make that clear as well. :-) I have lived in Hawaii 4 years, and I am quite certain I will live here for life, though I may eventually also get a small second home in New Zealand in order to spend a few months there from time to time (the three islands on this planet I love the most are Maui, Hawaii, and the South Island of New Zealand (least populated and largest of the main islands). Briefly, some of my interests: hiking in the the high mountain forests where the air is cool and fresh (I know more great hiking locations high up in the mountains than just about anyone on the islands of Maui and Hawaii), swimming, and reading (topics: astronomy/astrophysics - not astrology, physics, psychology, neuroscience, philosophy, history, and many more). I seriously want to learn kitesurfing in the future  I have degrees in finance, international business, computer science, and law (my 1 choice for major was astrophysics, but coming from Norway as an international student, I was restricted to whatever I could get funding for from the Norwegian state, and none of the sciences except computer science was on the list of majors approved for scholarships). For work, I privately manage money for myself, a few family members, and a few clients. I never get involved with more than a single woman at the same time, and have no interest in being with someone who may want to see other men at the same time. I am not the jealous type, however, and I trust the woman I am with unless she gives me good reason not to trust her. I have never cheated on anyone I've been with (even during the last three years of a marriage where things were not going well almost exclusively due to a lack of common interests), and I am quite sure no one I have been with have cheated on me. I am very loyal - no cheating, no seeing any other women. A life-long relationship with a woman who I fit extremely well together with is my dream, and I will - if I am confident I've met the right woman - agree to marriage if it important (or necessary due to citizenship/residency issues) for her to marry. I personally do not need a piece of paper saying I am married in order to be just as serious about the relationship (or as loyal and caring); if you ever 'steal' my heart, then you have it completely regardless of whether we get married. Look forward to hearing from interesting women who hopefully share at least some of my main interests. I have many good qualities that the right woman will appreciate very much. Hopefully you are in good shape and up for walking in the mountains and the forests from time to time. ;-) Chris P.S. An indication of my spiritual views via the words of Albert Einstein: "The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed. It was the experience of mystery -- even if mixed with fear -- that engendered religion. A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, our perceptions of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty, which only in their most primitive forms are accessible to our minds: it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute true religiosity. In this sense, and only this sense, I am a deeply religious man... I am satisfied with the mystery of life's eternity and with a knowledge, a sense, of the marvelous structure of existence -- as well as the humble attempt to understand even a tiny portion of the Reason that manifests itself in nature." P.P.S. My general view on politics, also in the words of Albert Einstein: "My political ideal is democracy. Let every man be respected as an individual and no man idolized. It is an irony of fate that I myself have been the recipient of excessive admiration and reverence from my fellow-beings, through no fault, and no merit, of my own. The cause of this may well be the desire, unattainable for many, to understand the few ideas to which I have with my feeble powers attained through ceaseless struggle. I am quite aware that for any organization to reach its goals, one man must do the thinking and directing and generally bear the responsibility. But the led must not be coerced, they must be able to choose their leader. In my opinion, an autocratic system of coercion soon degenerates; force attracts men of low morality... The really valuable thing in the pageant of human life seems to me not the political state, but the creative, sentient individual, the personality; it alone creates the noble and the sublime, while the herd as such remains dull in thought and dull in feeling.

I'm a very easy going person. I work everyday, I have compassion for people as a whole. I give respect only in hopes that it comes back to me in return. I think my spiritualness and way of thinking about life most resembles the Buddist. Although I am not an active follower of Budda, I have grown up learning the Christian values. I have had a lot of experiences on my journey through life thus far. I am still searching for the Queen of all my Dreams... Is she in Europe ?

Looking for a real woman. New London, Connecticut, United States

About me… Well, I would consider myself a pretty normal guy, but most other people wouldn’t. I’m very ambitious and will work my butt off for something I want, whether it’s personal or professional, but I have no problem hopping on the kickback program from time to time. I'm by no means OCD, but I am very organised. I’m also more spontaneous than most people I know. I will come up with an idea, prepare for it as I’m headed out the door and usually not forget anything I needed to do it. If I do forget something or things just go sideways, I have a talent for figuring out a way around it, getting everything under control and having a lot of fun in the process. I have a broad sense of humor and can find something funny in anything. I have a laid back attitude with thick skin, so the little things don’t bother me and I’m not easily offended. I can take a joke and can dish them out. I can be goofy from time to time and have the reputation as a practical joker. I usually find a way to get along with most people, and for those I don’t like, I have a reason. I have a family and a job to support them. Yes ma'am, I'm what's known as a package deal. I have an 8 year old boy and a 6 year old girl who live with me for all but 4-8 weeks of the year. I have sole physical/sole legal custody of them, so the “baby mama drama” should remain at a minimum. My children are a big part of my life and anyone in my life must understand that. I love to travel... If I have a chance, off I go to explore new cultures, food and experiences. Then again, I may just hit up one of my favorites. Local destinations or those abroad, it really doesn’t matter to me. All I know is that I’m going and I’m going to make the most of anywhere I go.

Seeking: Female 33 - 49 for Friendship
Religion: Buddhist

Fairly independent guy, creative, strong social conscience, sardonic humor, complex thinker, ENFP, with wide ranging interests in mythology, preservation of indigenous cultures, sacred ceremony and art, Green Party politics and values, and health care for all. Looking for comfortable relationship, easygoing and complex conversations with ability to differ amiably and learn from each other. Am a certified massage therapist, so that's nice to share almost anytime. I love Argentine tango, teach it occasionally on an informal basis. The magic of a good tango can reverberate for days! Not looking for anyone to "be my other half" or do things for me, but rather another mostly whole person. Am an excellent cook, do my own housekeeping, laundry, chores, and problem solving. Grew up as a kid with my family living in Venezuela, Nicaragua, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico. Favorite places? Iguassu Falls, Ein Gedi, Borobudur, Tenochtitlan, Hezekiah's tunnel under Jerusalem, and Cerro Fitzroy (where I plan to visit someday). Worked on a kibbutz in Israel for a year, doing irrigation, harvesting, kitchen duty for 600, garbage man, laundry, welding and metal fabrication. Have had interesting work history with the criminally insane in a maximum security treatment center; doing FBI prison research on convicted sex offenders and autoerotic asphyxia (I don't recommend it); also ran group home for boys, was a school-based therapist, and professional singer with Chanticleer, with lots of touring and CDs I'm proud of (Musikverein in Vienna; Lincoln Ctr, NYC, Sydney Opera House). Currently work in healthcare technology planning for large nonprofit provider. Interested in systems thinking, complexity theory, archetypal psychology, Edgar Rice Burroughs outer space sci fi, Moby Dick, Count of Monte Cristo, Buddhism (Tibetan), Middle East politics, the mounting crises of capitalism (and our apparent inability as a species to learn), neurophilosophy, fractals, strange attractors, toxic memes, critical theory (Frankfurt School). I do some volunteer international consulting on healthcare planning for remote, poor regions, esp. developing appropriate technology for rural maternal health services, bridging with midwives and traditional healers. I'm much more interested in the content of your character, your struggles, and what you're doing with your life than in dog pictures, how you "like to laugh", or how equally comfortable you are in a little black dress or jeans. Ability to share quiet time is good. Strong social and political conscience is essential, aesthetic intelligence, creativity, clever, mordent sense of humor desired.

What's up? I'm a fun guy working in the restaurant business and doing In Home Supportive Services work. Love hanging out, going to the gym almost every day, and running. Video games too- would consider myself pretty good, but I get my ass beat by girls all the time and I'm not ashamed. Movies- aside from the typical action film, I'm also willing to admit that I like romantic ones. My most recent Netflix "chick flicks"- The Proposal and The Ugly Truth. The Notebook is actually my favorite "chick flick". Like that movie or want to watch it together? Message me and let's talk about it. Or whatever you want to talk about. I'll tell you more embarrassing stuff about myself.:-)

Seeking: Female 30 - 45 for Friendship

Hmmmmm....what to write about myself when I dont have the need to talk about myself. One's actions are louder than words as we all can talk about what we can do, believe, and feel, but of course seeing is quite convincing. I am humble. I am loyal. I am faithful. I like nature, in fact I would like to retire one day in the woods with a nice home, a few dogs and maybe a cat or two. Kindness. Gentle. Firm when needed. Overall just a jeans and a tshirt kind of guy. No drama, love movies, dining out, or just staying at home. Love the holidays and the fun a family can have or share during those times. I dont drink often only socially and that is rarely. I like long kisses and sometimes short ones too! Romance is nice and so is deep passionate erotic love. No time for games or the need to nourish emotional baggage, life is all around us and each day is bringing new and exciting things, why waste time in life by being fooled or being a fool?

I guess everyone on this site has a story. Mine is probably similar to the reason that most people are here. Your relationship crashed and burned. Married for x number of years, still in legal limbo after x number of years. After three years, it's time to start testing the waters. Besides traveling and working all the time, you get tired of living like a monk. Relationships change, people change. I can say with absolute certainty, my parent's generation never got divorced with few exceptions. Our generation and the generations after us are different. Things change, maybe our parent's understanding of marriage didn't. Sometimes, you might end up being with the wrong person. Funny, how quick and easy it is to lock the relationship up through marriage and how difficult it can be to dissolve it if it goes sideways. I would rather take a more philosophical outlook on the divorce experience. In my mind, I can think of two songs which really sum up the end of a relationship and all the hopes and dreams which go along with it. Billy Joel wrote a song called, The Stranger. Dave Mason wrote one, We Just Disagree. There have been a thousand, hell, a million songs written about the woes one experiences in a relationship. You might be able to find something about your own situation in each and every song. I think if you can walk away without being bitter, that's half the battle as you are on your way for finding the hopes and dreams of tomorrow.
